Wonderful weather, amazing location, gorgeous bridesmaids, handsome groomsmen, warm and friendly family/friends and a radiant bride coupled with a sharp groom. What more could a photographer ask for?

We had a great time capturing some of the wonderful wedding memories of Tash and Thuy at the Marriott, Brisbane CBD, supplemented by groomsmen preparation at their home on the river in New Farm.

Kylie and I recently had the pleasure of spending a fun afternoon with the delightful Britta and Scott to capture a few memories for them.

The praying managed to hold back the rain for most of the afternoon, with only a few spits throughout the shoot. Thank you weather!

Ron Mueck Gallery of Modern Art | Personal

If you haven’t yet made it over to the Gallery of Modern Art, Brisbane, Australia (for international readers) to see the Ron Mueck exhibition it’s worth the visit.

Ron Mueck is known for creating realistic sculptures which look perfect from all angles. Not only did all his work look amazingly real, but it was either much larger than life or incredibly small.

A few snaps I took of his work…

See the adult on the left side (in the shadows) for comparison to the size of this head

The guy in the boat was the size of a 2-3 yr old toddler

She is either huge or they are all tiny

These two young whipper snappers were about 50-60 cm’s tall

She was also tiny

Saving the best for last…how real is this bunny?!?

Teya | Portait Shoot

A few portrait test shots with the lovely Teya from a workshop session (thanks em!).

For the photographer readers, these images were taken with the Canon 35mm Prime L Series f/1.4 lens (cheers Darren!). The sharpness from this lens is brilliant – probably the sharpest non-macro lens I’ve used.

What an amazing wedding…the locations and atmosphere certainly made for some great memories. It was a delight to share such a special day amongst a warm and welcoming group of Maddy and David’s friends and family.
